The Energy Secretariat said that 7 new electricity transmission works will be completed in June in Buenos Aires and Misiones. They are in addition to 12 other works that have already been completed in 11 provinces. In the province of Buenos Aires, the ET 25 de Mayo, located 12 kilometres from the head of the Buenos Aires district, is in the final stage of construction and will benefit 800,000 inhabitants. A TL between 25 de Mayo and Chivilcoy and the opening of the Bragado – Saladillo TL, have also been added. Within the province of Buenos Aires, the Bahía Blanca – Mar del Plata 500 kV electrical interconnection and the 132 kV connection to Villa Gesell, North and South sections, will also be completed. These are 410 kilometres of extra high voltage line, linking two of the most populated cities in the interior of Buenos Aires.
The work on the Transformer Station and High Voltage Line for Bolívar involved the construction of a 132 kV double-terminal line, 50 kilometres long, together with an interconnection station. The new double-terminal line is in addition to the existing “Henderson-Olavarría” HVL, which will enable Bolívar to connect to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) at 132 kV, instead of the current 33 kV. This work accompanies the 132 kV Henderson – Pehuajó – Villegas Interconnection, another line whose construction was completed during the current administration.
In Misiones, the new 132 kV Puerto Mineral – Eldorado II interconnection line will be ready, together with the Eldorado II 132/33/13.2 kV 44/44/15 MVA transformer station. This work will benefit 220,000 users.
As part of the Federal Electricity Transmission Plan, 12 other works have already been completed in 11 provinces. New transformer stations were built in the provinces of Neuquén, Salta, Santa Fe and Tucumán, and interconnections and complementary works were carried out in Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Corrientes, La Rioja, Santa Cruz and Santa Fe. Together, these works benefit more than 5,480,000 users.
The electricity transmission works already completed are: Granadero Baigorria 132/33/13.2 kV ET of 2 x 40 MVA and 132 kV DT interconnection with the Capitán Bermúdez line (Santa Fe); new ET Colonia Valentina (Neuquén); LAT 132 kV Los Divisaderos – ET Valle Viejo (Catamarca); LAT 132 kV ET Mercedes – ET Goya Oeste (Corrientes); 132/33/13.2 kV Pichanal 30 MVA Transformer Station (Salta); 132 kV ET San ta Cruz Norte – ET Caleta Olivia (Santa Cruz). Also, the 132 kV Henderson – Pehuajó – Villegas Interconnection (Buenos Aires); La Rioja Sur 500/132 kV ET Expansion and 300 MVA Works (La Rioja) and 500 kV Rincón Santa María Electrical Interconnection – ET Resistencia – Line II and Expansion Works.
